The RI IXpress is gearing up for its third year with some exciting changes. This year we will collaborate with the Greater Providence Youth Hockey Association as our partner program out of the Brown University Meehan Auditorium ice rink. We will continue to have teams in the U12 and U14 divisions and will add this year a U16/U19 team as well. Once again, we will compete in both the NEGHL and the EHF. Practices will include skills and development with a variety of coaches, including Steve Cedorchuk and Digit Murphy, as well as the Brown University players.

The collaboration with GPYHA strengthens our ties to our home rink and our commitment to the Brown community at large. As you know GPYHA is a respected Rhode Island youth hockey organization dedicated to the positive hockey experience for all its youth. This affiliation will enrich the hockey experience for all the players by enabling more opportunity for joint hockey and community events and including the Brown players.

We are excited to work more at Brown and to be affiliated with an organization so committed to the overall experience of its young athletes.

Girls Hockey Tier 1 Tryouts The RI IXpress Girls' Hockey program announces its tryouts for the 2009-10 skating season. Tryouts are open to all female athletes in RI and eligible neighboring states. We will field one team in each division of U10, U12, U14, U16 and U19 to compete at the Tier 1 level in girls ' hockey throughout New England. Tryout dates are as follows: Thursday, March 26, 2009 6:00pm – 9:00pm Brown University   Monday, March 30, 2009 6:00pm – 8:00pm W. Warwick   Tuesday, April 7, 2009 6:00pm – 8:00pm W.
